The Southern Black Hills of South Dakota

Nationally-known Wind Cave National Park, Jewel Cave National Monument and scenic Custer State Park are just a few of the natural wonders you will find in the Southern Hills. Here through a maze of delicate and colorful crystal formations are some of the longest caves in the world. Custer State Park is home to one of America’s largest wild buffalo herds, begging burros and a variety of other wildlife. In Custer State Park you will find the historic State Game Lodge, summer home for Presidents Coolidge. Venturing farther south, you’ll come upon one of the richest archaeological finds in recent years featuring fossils of over 50 Columbian mammoths near Hot Springs.
